Shooting Sports Annual Events
The December 2007 Sporting Clays Magazine featured an article about the recent "Cabela's Shoot for the Cure" held at Saddle and Sirloin where $115,000 was raised in the two day tournament for the Heart of America Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. According to Sheri Hahn, executive director of the Heart of America Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cabela's, Tom and Hilary Watson and Generali USA have combined to make the event one of the premier events of its kind in America.
Through out the season, members, their families and companies utlitize the shooting sports facility for gatherings, competition, new shooter clinics and retreats.
Memorial Day and the 4th of July are anticipated events dates for club members and their guests. “Fun Shoots” scheduled for these days include team events for protection/back-up, knock-out and Sporting Clays. The 4th of July shooting activities are capped off by a professional fireword display. view dozens of municipal fireword displays, clearly visible from the high vantage point of the Shooting Sports facility “high hill” location.
